I stay in Florida for the winter and ride uninsured as most residents do as it's legal. But I've wondered about insuring my bike down here in order to ride it in Ontario. The insurance company say it's legal but I wonder if the Canadian Cops will give you a hard time riding a bike with an Ontario licence plate and having an American
Insurance slip, Also, the slip is not the Ontario pink one, it's white. Does anybody have any info. on this ?
Dave.

One of my neighbours does that and saves a bundle.

I was in the Lindsay crappy tire and when I came out there was a Burgman scooter parked beside my bike, with Florida plates. I stuck around to talk to this wing nut... it was my neighbour.

One of my on track hero’s rides with no insurance.your a fricking star Dave
What a rebel. If anyone sees Dave at the track , do yourself a favour, hang around long enough to take in some of his stories , they are priceless. Ask him about racing in the rain with hail wood, had me in stitches.
Your a real star Dave
All the best
Steve

Hey Steve,
Absolutely we should meet up in FL for beer!
I'm just a bit south of Cocoa about 1 hour south of Daytona.
Yeah down there 300K isn't much and my plan is to try not to hit anything...and if I do too hit it hard
I was also wondering if I could insure a Ontario bike to ride in Ontario with Florida insurance, it runs the grey line but I think I'll try.

Cheers!

I do my Car & Street Motorcycle (2007 Triumph Bonneville) w/ Desjardins and i'm north between Huntsville and North Bay. It's only $650/yr and I have 1mil liability and collision/comprehensive. Used to be with Wawanesa when I was in Toronto and it was like $950 which was good but then one year out of the blue they jacked it to $1450 for no reason thus the switch to Desjardins.

Anyways happy to be paying so little for it. It's the lowest i've ever paid for insurance. I have about 13 years experience and am 39.
