If you need one more turn on the track before the long winter, all sidecars are welcome to run with the SRA at the season ending RACE round Sep 21-22. An SRA membership is required and one event memberships can be paid for at the track (I look after SRA memberships and tech). The plan is to run the ...

Thanks Gary

My rear wheel spokes were new for Mosport last year. I had several break at the TT which were replaced for Calabogie. I replaced 4 rear wheel spokes after Saturday's race at Calabogie. I eased up on Sunday (it was hard watching the pack leave me) but still broke another 5 spokes. Gary offered me the...

Re: Rule book update

Most were unaware that the VF750 was available in 1982 in some markets outside North America when the membership voted out the restriction on water cooled four strokes that had been in place since P3 was created. No one has asked the Tech Committee to include later VF750s, which would require proof ...

Re: Allowable P1 CB350 Frame Modifications

The Tech Committee has discussed P1 frame modifications. A clarification was made in early 2018 to allow extra bracing typical of the period in P1 as is permitted in Pre 65. Tubing used must be round. Replacing the pressed steel section with round tubing would be acceptable. As long as the CB350 eng...

Re: P3 engine

The Tech committee reviewed this request and unanimously agreed that the 1983 engine is not acceptable in Period 3. It was changed in many areas from 1982, and ended up smaller and over 25 pounds lighter.

Rule book update

The rule book has been updated with the rule changes and other changes to part A. We are currently discussing procedures for head injuries. This is taking longer than planned. We intend to include the procedure in this revision and have delayed publishing the rules until it is complete.

Found transponder

Cleaning out the tech storage bin, I found a transponder at the bottom that I think was returned to tech at the end of the Vintage Festival by bike pick-up. Although scratched on the outside I have charged it and it took a charge. If you think it is yours PM me with details of transponder.

The executive is still discussing some rules, but here is the camera rule; Attachment of cameras or any other accessory to the motorcycle is to be done by the manufacturer’s recommended method. We strongly recommend augmenting the manufacturer’s recommended accessory mounting procedure with mechanic...
